Chicken farm

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we initiated a project to support an aspiring entrepreneur in establishing a chicken farm. In this project, young chicks were nurtured and raised into chickens, with the goal of selling these chickens and generating income.

The aim of this initiative was to help the entrepreneur build a sustainable business despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. By supporting this enterprise, we aimed to contribute to economic stability and self-sufficiency within the community.

At Martha's Life Foundation, we encourage the establishment of small businesses to sustain the income flow for local entrepreneurs. This project is an example of how we support local initiatives that lead to economic growth and improvement of living conditions.

After two periods of raising the chicks, issues arose with the import of chicken feed, which halted the project. Unfortunately, this led to the entrepreneur taking the proceeds from the chicken sales and leaving for Europe.

While the project did not achieve the sustainable success we had hoped for, it provided us with valuable insights into the challenges of supporting startup businesses in difficult times. This experience helps us better plan and support future projects, with the aim of realizing more resilient and sustainable initiatives
